Bahar ic-Caghaq, Detached Villa
BOOK A VIEWING
BAHAR IC-CAGHAQ
Bahar ic-Caghaq is a charming coastal town nestled on the northern coast of Malta, in the limits of Madliena, Magħtab, Għargħur and Pembroke. The area is situated at the mouth of the island’s longest valley called ‘Wied il-Kbir’. Renowned for its picturesque scenery and tranquil ambiance, its name, translating to “Sea of Pebbles” in Maltese, aptly describes its stunning rocky shoreline and crystal-clear waters.
This coastal town is adorned with historical landmarks, amongst which are two centuries old chapels, one of which has been abandoned. Another historical building in the area is a redoubt – consisting of a pentagonal platform, with short flanks and a low parapet. The redoubt was built in 1715–1716 by the Order of Saint John as one of a series of coastal fortifications around the Maltese Islands.
Despite its small size, Bahar ic-Caghaq offers a serene escape from the bustling city life of nearby St. Julian’s and Sliema. Visitors and locals alike enjoy leisurely walks along the promenade, where they can soak in breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.
