BOOK A VIEWING
Sliema is a town located along the North East coast of Malta. It is densely populated and a hub for activity. Many offices, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants are dotted around the town as well as many high-rise buildings and apartment blocks which line the coastal promenade. The Sliema promontory stretches for a few kilometers and now joins the adjacent towns of St. Julians and Gzira with a promenade that leads all around the coast to Valletta.
Once a fishing village and home to the wealthier aristocrats in Malta who had beautiful property around the coast which was mainly used as summer residences, Sliema has seen vast changes over the last 50 years with many of the stately villas and town houses which were icons of Sliema being replaced by Life style Developments, modern apartment blocks and commercial establishments. You an still see some of these charming town houses in the back streets with their colourful typical Maltese balconies giving the town a taste of a more laid back lifestyle within the hustle and bustle of the more populated and commercial areas.
Property in Sliema is still extremely sought after by both locals and foreigners and possibly the highest value properties can be found in this area. It is considered a desirable place to live and relatively affluent.
Sliema’s promenade, which is host to many walkers and joggers as well as people meeting up for a drink in one of the bars or restaurants which line up along the coast, is a well known landmark the island over and visited by people from all over the island. Swimming facilities are also available at different points just below the promenade.
