The single-family villa was built in 1966 by the renowned Garmisch architect Hans Ostler, whose so-called "Heimatstil" style played a key role in shaping the townscape for many decades. Ostler is particularly well-known for the "Ostler villas" named after him, which interpret the traditional alpine country house style in a modern way in the sense of a reduced mid-century architecture. The floor plans of the Ostler villas are based on contemporary living concepts and meet family-friendly requirements. Hans Ostler also designed the public space, for example through his involvement in the Olympic ice stadium.
