Malta Global Residence (GRP)
Malta Global Residence Program (GRP)
Residency with Tax Benefits & Schengen Access for Non-EU Nationals
The GRP is a tax driven residency program that is directly targeted towards non EU/EEA citizens. Beneficiaries under this program attain ‘Special Tax Status’ which applies a preferential, fixed rate of tax of 15% on foreign source income that is remitted to Malta. This program imposes a minimum, annual tax payment of €15,000 which is based on the assumption that a beneficiary shall remit income sourced overseas of not less than €100,000 annually. Any sums that are remitted that exceed the €100,000 threshold shall benefit from underlying tax relief so any tax paid at source shall be available as a credit against any further domestic (Malta) tax due.
